Winter time on Long Island

When the weathers turns cold on Long Island and people leave the beaches and parks, it’s a special time for me. On Long Island we get some of the coolest visitors from the north. From Bald Eagles to Snowy Owls, from Long Tailed Ducks to Harlequin Ducks. This year I have seen a spike in Coopers Hawks, just about everywhere I go I have been seeing them. I love to walk to beaches in the winter here, you can see Seals, Fox, Deer, Owls, it’s always a surprise what you will see. Here are some shots taken this winter, I hope you enjoy them.
