Winter is upon us

Winter is upon us, Christmas is around the corner. The Beaches are barren, but are they?. If you are lucky enough to see a Snowy Owl, you will be seeing an amazing bird. They travel all the way from the breeding grounds in the Canadian Tundra. They travel south from the winter. Only the most skilled hunters stay in the Tundra during winter. I love the sea shore during the winter, it’s so peaceful. I was lucky enough this morning to get to spend two hours with this beautiful creature. It allowed me to get within 75 feet of her. You can tell an adult Snowy by the barring on its wings, the Males are all white while the females have black Barring on its wings.
